From mlb.com: “DENVER — Watching Dan Uggla take a bat into the cages on Friday afternoon was a welcome sight for the Marlins. Recovering from a sprained left ankle, Uggla spent about 10 minutes hitting in the batting cage on Friday. All went well, and Uggla said he hopes to take live batting practice on Saturday afternoon at Coors Field. The Marlins have been without their power-hitting second baseman since June 28. He rolled his ankle while turning past first base on a single.” Read more here.
