A registered Republican’s masterpiece to defeat CNBC, help the Democrats, and save America using Republican tactics

Serenity prayer

Obama's prayer

Obama's prayer

Much was made of the prayer note that Barack Obama placed between the stones of the Western Wall in Jerusalem last week (left), which read: ”Lord — Protect my family and me.  Forgive me my sins, and help me guard against pride and despair.  Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just.  And make me an instrument of your will.”

Lately, I have been thinking of my own prayer.  On my own, I cannot fight the injustice called CNBC, I cannot combat the ignorance of my fellow Americans on which John McCain (accused of being a homosexual Manchurian candidate by Republicans during the 2000 primary, but definitely graduated in the bottom 1% of his Naval Academy class) preys, I cannot make Barack Obama President.  There are a lot of problems in the world that I would like to solve, but I cannot.  I have done my fair share with this blog, so I think of the Serenity Prayer that is used by Alcoholics Anonymous.  These are words to live by for anyone:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
